André Bester was part of the original practice namely Engelbrecht & Bester Architects that Piet Engelbrecht established in 1977. André Bester joined him in 1979. This partnership developed into a strong professional relationship over the years and together they were responsible for, and successfully completed, several landmark projects, especially in the Western Cape.
After the partnership Engelbrecht & Bester, Ebesa Architects was established in January 2006. André and Piet became Directors of the company and as experienced Professional Architects continued the path of success by executing many more projects throughout South Africa.
André decided to leave the Company at the end of February 2013 and went into retirement not long after that.
His professionalism and work ethic of the past remains an inspiration for many. This is truly a sad time for all his family & friends and Ebesa.
