Our previous newsflashes regarding the CIfA withdrawal from SAIA refer.
The Cape Institute for Architecture (CIfA) has withdrawn from the SA Institute of Architects (SAIA) and, as a consequence, current members of CIfA are no longer members of SAIA. As such, they are not required to pay fees or levies to SAIA.
However, it is possible to remain members of SAIA on assignment to another Region of SAIA. In such a case, members should apply directly to SAIA for assignment to another SAIA region.
Those members of CIfA who have received notices from SAIA regarding the Practice Levy and Declaration should note that the Practice Levy will become due and payable to SAIA on assignment to another region.
