Plan and Build It Right

Dear CIfA, SAACPP and UDISA Members

If you have been following our journey, you will no doubt be aware that our new DAMS system was not launched on Monday, 27 February as planned. The City is still in the process of migrating data to the new portal. Until then, we unfortunately cannot receive any building plan and development applications. We apologise for the inconvenience and we are working around the clock to get the migration completed. We will inform you as soon as it is live.

Exemptions granted on development charges

On 27 October 2022, Council approved an exemption to the Development Charges Policy. This exemption applies to all land uses where a temporary package plant has been approved in catchments of wastewater treatment works that are currently at capacity.
This exemption applies only to the sewer portion and where the developer/operator has been authorised by the National Department of Water and Sanitation to dispose and treat sewage.
