It is that time of the year again, when you are starting to wind up your work calendar for 2023 and looking forward to the holidays. 2023 has been a very challenging and busy year for CIfA and no doubt for the members as well.

For your convenience, the staff at the CIfA offices will again be available to assist you with the CPD submission process on the SACAP website on the following days:
   • Monday 11 December 2023 from 09h00 – 14h00
   • Tuesday 12 December 2023 from 09h00 – 14h00

Members are reminded that:
   • 2023 CPD Portfolios are due for submission to SACAP no later than 31 December 2023. CPD Points must be submitted via the SACAP registered person’s portal. You will need to know your username and password.
   • To comply with the renewal conditions the following CPD points should have been accumulated over the last 5 years:
      o Minimum number of CPD Points in Category 1: 5
      o Minimum number of CPD Points in the remaining Categories: 20
      o Total CPD Credits (Categories 1, 2a, 2b, 3a and 3b): 25

CPD Portfolios submitted for 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 will appear on your Profile on the SACAP Portal. You are required to upload all outstanding CPD credits for these years, as well as the credits obtained during 2023, directly on your Profile, under ‘Professional Development’ before 31 December 2023.

Registered Persons who are due for renewal of registration would have received electronic renewal notices from SACAP for renewal of their registration. Note: Application forms are no longer required for the renewal process. Renewal of registration is subject to compliance with SACAP’s CPD requirements.

As per the SACAP CPD Conditions it is and remains the duty of the registered professional attending CPD activities to keep a record of attendance. Although CIfA keeps a record of attendance per event, it is impossible to keep individual CPD records for each member.
