These are a few comments received from members since the passing of Julian Cooke: … an amazing architect and teacher… … I am devastated, he was such an amazing teacher and head of the faculty… … I had the privilege of teaching with him in later years at UCT… … he was devoted to the faculty and to all the students he taught … … he made such an impression on both lecturers and students alike, we have lost a special soul… … Oh wow that is very sad news. What a humble and learned man! … What a huge loss to our community of architects and to the teaching of our profession. His knowledge, passion, guidance and humility inspired and will continue to inspire so many of us! … Sad news indeed. He was a warm, humble, wise man with a wicked sense of humour. I will miss him. Condolences to his family… |
