Professional Architect
Stewart and Partners is a dynamic architecture studio based in Cape Town. Our team of architects and designers are passionate about creating beautiful, functional and sustainable buildings.
We need to grow our team to help deliver exciting and ambitious infrastructure, residential and leisure projects locally and abroad. In addition to being a professional architect, the role needs to cover the following responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for reviewing designs and identifying potential technical challenges. You will also be responsible for providing solutions that are both technically sound and aesthetically pleasing.
- You will be working with a team of experienced architects and engineers locally and abroad to create designs that are both functional and beautiful. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our designs meet the highest local and international standards.
- As a more experienced Professional Architect, you will be responsible for mentoring and training less experienced architects and technologists. You will be sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them develop their skills and grow their careers.
- We are committed to sustainable design, and we are looking for architects who share our commitment. In this role, you will be responsible for playing a key part in augmenting sustainability in our designs, in the use of materials, incorporating energy-efficient features, and designing for human comfort and well-being.
- Experience in leading multi-disciplinary professional teams from project inception to completion
- Excellent client communication skills
Qualifications
- Master of Architecture (MArch) or equivalent qualification.
- Valid registration with SACAP as a Professional Architect (PrArch)
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of postgraduate experience with extensive exposure to coordination, detailing and construction.
- Demonstrated aptitude for complex construction detailing and coordination resolution.
- Site construction experience and contract administration.
- Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit, BIM workflows and execution plans, and cloud-based collaboration.
